The Innovation Incubation Center (i²c) at TU Wien
Entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged and innovative, technology-oriented start-up teams are supported from brainstorming to the implementation of business models. To this end, a high-quality consulting and qualification program is offered to impart entrepreneurial skills. The i²c guarantees the necessary framework conditions and access to the required network. The aim is to offer visible and sustainable support for university spin-offs from TU Wien along the entire value chain.
Inspire. Educate. Innovate. Connect.
Since 2012, i²c has been offering TUW students and staff a constantly evolving range of services. The service portfolio currently comprises 4 pillars:
- Inspiration - learn from founders, exchange experiences, network, get to know potential co-founders or team members.
- Training - Receive a practice-oriented, mentor-supported, one-year additional training to become a techno-entrepreneur with the "Innovation" extension course.
- Innovation - support in the exploitation of scientific results/doctoral projects. The i²c STARTacademy, a 3-day boot camp, evaluates commercialization potential and allows business models for existing results to be explored. The TUW i²nkubator offers access to workshops and mentors who accompany the start-up from the commercialization idea to market entry, including financing support. The TU Wien co-working space is available as a workplace, and laboratory space or start-up offices can be rented.
- Network - Benefit from an international network consisting of founders, investors, partners from industry and science, incubators and accelerators.
